Our Definition Of Athletics
Athletics, a category in sporting competition, encompasses track and field sports, foot racing, and has been part of every Summer Olympics since 1896. Rooted in ancient Greek Olympics, the modern program features track and field, road running, and race-walking events, with cross country running in earlier editions.

Together, we aim to create a shared sense of purpose, address collective needs, and enhance the well-being of our community.
A show of unwavering commitment to the future of our young athletes, we are thrilled to announce the recipients of our $500 scholarships. These deserving individuals, one male and one female, both avid participants in cross country and track and field, have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their sports. We believe in their potential and are excited to contribute to their educational journey, empowering them to reach new heights in both their athletic and academic pursuits. Your support makes these opportunities possible.
This community running event was created to raise funds to support the Arroyo Grande High School Track and Field Department to purchase equipment. With over 300 athletes competing, this fun summer track series is open to athletes of all ages and all skill levels. Hope to see you all again this summer!
